picking up the injured Pelican from Thol Bird Sanctuary

A volunteer at Jivdaya, rescued a Great white Pelican from Thol Bird Sanctuary. The bird had been injured by a kite string and had a deep cut in its wing. After being brought to our hospital our doctors operated on the bird. The wing was sutured up and the bird was kept in a special enclosure with 2 other pelicans suffering from the same fate. All the birds are well and recovering properly.
