Adoption FAQs

They are mostly rescued by our team, abandoned, or orphaned.

We operate from 2 pm to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday. You can visit within that time, or take a prior appointment by email for a Sunday.

We use an interview process, to make sure each animal is matched with a compatible new owner. After approval from our manager, you fill in an adoption form.

Allow one to two hours to complete it. It may take longer depending on how many pets you would like to meet.

We are sorry, but we do not keep any pet on hold.

Both you and your new pet will need time to get acquainted and adjust. Some settle quickly; others need more time and help. If it has not worked out after several tries, talk to the concerned person at Jivdaya.

It takes time for a pet to adjust to a new environment. If it gets sick you can bring it to the centre for a check-up. Jivdaya does not charge anything for treatment.

Adoption at Jivdaya is absolutely free. Our only motive is to help animals find a permanent home and a loving family.
